Tuesday Evening December 1st Update

Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Nick here with the blog update this evening at Doug’s request. It was nice to see the sun return after it was hidden by cloud cover and rain chances for about a week! It was still cool today with highs in the upper 40s, but we’ll definitely take the sunny day that we had. Going into tonight, the system that left us is sending some energy on the back side. That’s trying to push a few very light showers (maybe some snow flurries) through the area on the radar below…

Other than maybe a shower or a few snow flurries passing through, we’ll have partly to mostly cloudy skies all the way through 6:00 Wednesday morning…

Even with the passing cloud cover, we’ll start Wednesday morning on the cold side with highs in the upper 20s to near 30°…

Once we get the day going and especially get into the afternoon, skies go mostly sunny and any rain or snow chances on the Future Track are out of here…

Even with mostly sunny skies, a northwest wind at 10-15 mph will only allow us to warm into the middle 40s Wednesday afternoon…

We’ll stay calm Thursday through Saturday with highs going back into the 50s while we keep the morning cold with lows ranging from the upper 20s to the middle 30s. A weak system may try to give us a few showers on Sunday, but that will mainly cool us down into the 40s and give us extra cloud cover. Monday and Tuesday look quiet before another weak system tries to push in on Wednesday. We’ll wait until next weekend (the 12 through the 14th) for a bigger system to work in. For the latest on the long range forecast and the pattern, Doug has you covered on  headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Wednesday!

Nick

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Here is your 7-day forecast:

Remember that you can sign up for WeatherCall by clicking the WeatherCall link at the top of the page. WeatherCall, in our opinion, is the best tool on the market to keep you safe during severe weather.

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US MUCH BETTER PRECIPITATION CHANCES

December 9th-12th:

Chilly with slight rain chances for Wednesday.  Mild temperatures will return for the second half of the week with rain chances returning for the weekend.

December 13th-19th:

Mild with rain chances to start the week.  As colder air works in we could see rain or snow by the middle of the week.  Cool temperatures for the second half of the week with a second system and rain or snow chances by the weekend.

December 20th-26th:

Most of the week will be on the cold side with slight chances for snow on Sunday.  Better chances for snow will work in with a storm system on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Staying cool but dry for the holiday.

When I say hot:  90+

When I say warm:  75-89

When I say mild:  60-74

Chilly:  50-60

Cool:  40-50

Cold:  40 and below
