Early Sunday AM December 13th Update

Good early Sunday morning, everyone. Yesterday wasn’t so bad during the afternoon. Despite the cloudy skies, we broke the record high yesterday! Our high of 72° Saturday broke the old record of 69° back in 1907. Since yesterday evening, we have dealt with rain and t-storms sneaking in. We’ll continue to see rain and some embedded t-storms on the radar below through today…

All our rain chances yesterday and today will be along and ahead of our front off to the west. Once that front sweeps through, we’ll dry out but start the eventual cool down on Monday…

Until that front sweeps through, let’s keep the rain and t-storm chances going through the night and into tomorrow morning. We should still have temperatures holding in the lower to middle 60s…

At times, the wind will gust up to 35 mph until we hit the start of the afternoon. As the winds calm down a bit as the front sweeps through, we’ll continue with the rain chances as we cool back into the 50s this afternoon…

Once we’re done with Sunday night, all of our rain chances should be out of here. In total, most spots should expect between 1-3″ of rain by the time our rain chances get out of here…

We improve Monday as skies eventually turn partly to mostly sunny. A cooler air mass will work in for Monday and only allow us to warm into the lower 50s Monday afternoon…

We could quickly rebound near 60° for Tuesday afternoon before both colder air and a weak wave start to work in. Highs from Wednesday through Saturday should top out in the lower 40s with morning lows ranging between the 20s and the 30s. A weak wave late Thursday and into Friday could bring the slightest chance for a few snow showers. For the most part, that wave will keep us partly sunny for the second half of the week before we try to go mostly sunny on Saturday.
