Good late Tuesday evening, everyone. We had to start our Tuesday with clouds, rain showers and quite a wind out of the northwest. Those rain chances are long gone, the wind has died down and we’re working on getting most of the cloud cover out of here. That does lead into a nice rest of the week and start of this weekend. We don’t have to deal with rain chances in the immediate future, so the radar below will stay quiet around here…
With partly cloudy skies and a light breeze, we do have to get past another chilly start before we can enjoy another taste of spring. Overnight lows should start around 31° across the area…
After sunrise, we’ll eventually turn mostly sunny going through the day on Wednesday. With a southwest breeze at 5-15 mph, we’ll be well above normal with high temperatures in the afternoon. We should expect highs around 62°…
In fact, we’ll go even warmer for Thursday and Friday thanks to our weather setup working in. The upper level setup has the jet stream shifting the cooler air to our north. An upper level ridge will work in on top of us by Thursday…
Couple that with a strong south wind at 20-30 mph Thursday and gusts near 40, we should be able to go into the lower to middle 70s for highs! That’s not record breaking for us, but we’ll certainly be well above normal with this setup. It’s hard to come by during the month of February, but we’ll take it! We’ll still be near 70° on Friday before our next system tries to bring in some rain chances. That shouldn’t be an issue for us until we get into Saturday night and Sunday morning…
After we get past Sunday, we go back into the 40s for highs early next week. We may have a weak system give us a slight chance for rain and snow on Tuesday, but we don’t seem to have any big systems on the horizon over the next 7 days.
