Friday night blog: Great weekend but changes moving in

Good Friday night!  I hope you had a great work week and ready for the weekend.  I am always ready for the weekends, but of course they fly right on by.  Before we know it Sunday evening will be here, lol.  So on the note, make sure you enjoy the next two days as the weather is going to be fantastic.  I am not sure what I am going to do over the weekend, I am sure I will stay busy.  Take a look at the radar below

We are going to stay pretty calm tonight with lows around 30 degrees.  We will see a great warm-up Saturday with highs soaring up into the upper 60s during the afternoon.  We will have a little breezy south wind but not a bad day.

Saturday

Sunday looks great as well.  However, a weak cold front will push through giving us some clouds and maybe a sprinkle or two in SW MO.  But in general, the weekend looks great.  Our next bigger system works in on Tuesday.

Tuesday 500

You can see the wave digging into Oklahoma on Tuesday.  We need to watch exactly where the track is of this system.  If it can track a little farther south we could get a little snow out of this guy.  If not, it will be mainly rain.  So as of now I am going mainly a cold rain.

Tuesday precip

This shows the rain working through with some snow mixing in late in the day.  We will watch the track of this system over the next few days.  Remember for my long range forecast and all of the details on the Heady Pattern go to headypattern.com

Have a great weekend.

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US MUCH BETTER PRECIPITATION CHANCES

Next week:  A nice mild start to the week with rain increasing on Tuesday with possibly snow mixing in late.  Cooler the rest of the week with rain chances Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

March 6th-12th:  A mild start to the week with rain chances Tuesday through Thursday.  There is a slight chances we could see snow mixing in on Thursday.  Cooler and dry for the rest of the week.

March 13th-19th:  Cool with showers for the beginning of the week.  The second half of the week will be mild with thunderstorms working in for the weekend.  Some of these storms could be strong to severe.
