Monday Afternoon April 4th Update

Good Monday afternoon, everyone. Nick here with the blog update again at Doug’s request. As expected, it was another nice and quiet day all across the area. On top of that, it felt great outside with morning lows starting in the middle 50s and afternoon highs in the middle to upper 70s! We’ll keep things quiet in the skies above and on the radar below as we go into Monday night and Tuesday morning…

As we go into Tuesday, we’ll see our wind start to come back out of the southeast. We can thank the clockwise flow of the high pressure to our northeast and our next system working in from the west for that…

The returning southeast wind means that we’ll have another mild (if not warm) day for Tuesday. After we start Tuesday morning in the middle to upper 40s, we’ll have partly to mostly sunny skies for most of Tuesday. With the southeast wind, we’ll have highs topping out around 76°…

By Tuesday evening, we’ll have our warm front out west pushing through. Once that happens, we’ll watch the approaching cold front behind it…

tuesdaynight

It’ll be along and just ahead of the front that we’ll have our next best shot for rain and some t-storms. We’re not seeing a good severe threat with the t-storms late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. Unless that changes, we’re still expecting just regular rain and some strong t-storms with the front. The Future Track below backs that up with it depicting rain and t-storms by midnight Wednesday…

The cold front should be pushing our rain chances out of here after 7 AM Wednesday. Behind it, we’re quiet for the rest of Wednesday but we’ll also trend a little cooler. Instead of middle to upper 70s for highs Wednesday, we’ll top out in the middle 60s Wednesday afternoon…

Beyond Wednesday, temperatures will go up and down while we stay quiet through Saturday. By next Sunday and next Monday, we’ll watch another system bring t-storm chances back into the area. Remember, for all of the long-range Heady Pattern, Doug has you covered over on headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Tuesday!

Nick

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Here is your 7-day forecast:

Remember that you can sign up for WeatherCall by clicking the WeatherCall link at the top of the page. WeatherCall, in our opinion, is the best tool on the market to keep you safe during severe weather.

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US MUCH BETTER PRECIPITATION CHANCES

April 11th-16th:  Mild with slight chances for storms on Monday, but a better chances on Wednesday and Thursday.  Cooling down the rest of the week.
