Good Wednesday evening, everyone. It was quite a breezy day across the area. Even though most of the day was mostly sunny and mild, we did have some rain push through Wednesday morning. We could’ve used a little more of it since we only picked up less than a quarter of an inch. Even though there’s rain on the radar below to our northwest, it won’t make it here tonight…
Let’s look at the overall setup. Our last system that gave us the rain Wednesday morning is off to our east now and we had winds from the northwest all day long…
The winds have died down for tonight, but our next front up north will pick things back up as this system races through here all the way from the Northern Plains on Thursday…
Behind the front, the northwest wind will kick back into gear and we’ll have gusts back near 30 mph at times during Thursday afternoon. To start Thursday, though, we’ll have a light west wind and some cloud cover working in from the northwest. After we start in the middle to upper 40s, we’ll go back into the upper 60s to near 70° Thursday afternoon…
Most of the weekend looks pretty good. We’ll top out in the lower 60s on Friday, but we stay dry and partly sunny. A weak disturbance may trigger a spot shower Saturday, but we’ll keep most spots dry with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Our next best shot for rain and t-storms will come late Sunday night and Monday with another system that’ll work in from the west. Behind that, we’ll keep things quiet and fairly mild by the middle of next week. Remember, for all of the long-range Heady Pattern, Doug has you covered over on headypattern.com
Have a good night and a great Thursday!
