Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Nick here with the blog update for you all at Doug’s request. It was a nice and quiet day. Granted, it was a bit cooler compared to where we were not too long ago. Still, we had a nice day with mostly sunny skies thanks to a quiet setup in control. There is some rain on the radar below, but we should be left alone tonight…
In fact, we shouldn’t see much in the way of action as we go into Wednesday and even into the weekend. The setup below keeps any organized storm systems/rain chances south and west of us while high pressure off to our northeast will funnel a southeast wind our way for Wednesday…
We’ll see some cloud cover sneak in from the south as we go into Wednesday. Any rain chances stay away for pretty much everybody, but the cloud cover will determine how much you’ll warm up by Wednesday afternoon. The clouds should cover Fredonia, Parsons, Pittsburg, Joplin and points south. If you’re under the clouds tomorrow, highs will top out near 66°. If you see more sun tomorrow, you’ll top out closer to 70°…
We stay quiet and mild for the rest of the week and going into the weekend. Our next storm system will start working in by Sunday and early next week. That will give us t-storm chances again, but the severe threat looks pretty low with that system. If that system remains disorganized, the severe threat will stay pretty low. We’ll keep a close eye on that over the next several days. Don’t forget that for all of Doug’s long range forecasts and the latest on the Heady Pattern, he has you covered over on headypattern.com.
Have a good night and a great Wednesday!
LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:
Here is your 7-day forecast:
Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.
LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)
SLIGHT CHANCES: MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.
IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT: THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US MUCH BETTER PRECIPITATION CHANCES
April 17th-23rd: We will deal with two systems to start the week. This will give us thunderstorm chances through Wednesday with a severe threat on Sunday and then again on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will have mild to warm temperatures through the week. Another system rolls in for the weekend with another severe threat working back in.
April 24th-30th: A warming trend through the week with thunderstorm for the middle of the week. This system should give us severe thunderstorms with the best chance on Tuesday and Wednesday. Cooler temperatures working in late in the week.
