Early Friday Morning: More thunderstorms

Good Friday morning, I hope you have had a great work week and ready for Friday of course.  I am always a fan when Friday rolls around.  I am suppose to go on a field trip with my son today, but we will see if the rain affects us or not.  Take a look at the radar below.

As our next system rolls in today, we will have a few batches of showers and thunderstorms across the region.  Most of the thunderstorms through the morning will be just south of us across eastern OK and western AR.  However, a few of these will make it into the area, so we will have a few scattered showers and thunderstorms.  The best chances for these will be along and south of I-44.

11am

You can see by late morning a bigger batch of showers and thunderstorms out west will start to push in during the afternoon hours.

3pm

These scattered storms will work in during the afternoon hours.  However, I think anything severe will mainly stay just south of the area.  We will be sitting along and just north of the warm front which isn’t the greatest set-up for severe storms.

Friday Surface

This means any severe weather today should stay just south of us.  However, stronger storms could work in tonight as the front lifts toward the north.

Friday night

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will last into Saturday morning.  There is a slight chance we could see a pop-up storm tomorrow afternoon as the front rolls through, but most of the weekend looks pretty good.

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US MUCH BETTER PRECIPITATION CHANCES

Next Week:  Mild temperatures with a few showers on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Warming up late in the week with thunderstorms by the weekend.  Some of these could be on the strong to severe side.

May 8th-14th:  Warm with a slight chance for thunderstorms on Sunday.  Warm temperatures continue through most of the week with good chances for thunderstorms Wednesday through Saturday.  We should have good chances for severe weather through the period.
