Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Nick here with an update for you tonight at Doug’s request. We had to start another day out with rain, but we finally got a break in the action as we got the afternoon started. Granted, it’s still cooler than normal, but at least we’re not going to be soaking as we go into tonight. We’ll even squeeze in a dry day for tomorrow before more rain chances try to sneak in. Nothing on the radar below for us tonight…
Not only are we expected to stay dry for Wednesday, we’ll actually see some sun return from the sky above. After we start mostly cloudy and chilly with lows near 46° Wednesday morning, we should be seeing a partly sunny sky by the time Wednesday afternoon gets started…
The sunshine will help us to warm up quite a bit compared to the 50s we’ve seen for the past few days. By Wednesday afternoon, we should see highs in the middle to upper 60s. Joplin should top out around 66°…
Even though Wednesday stays dry, another disturbance will work back in as we go into Thursday. You can see the disturbance planning on setting up on the KS/CO border by 7 AM Thursday…
That disturbance will bring rain chances back in and it could start as early as Thursday morning. With that said, though, the future radar below doesn’t want to bring in any steady moderate to heavy rain in for Thursday. So, let’s go with scattered showers throughout the day on Thursday…
Rain chances should continue into Friday morning, but Friday afternoon and night should be good with rain chances out of here by then. Most of the weekend is looking good as we go back into the middle to upper 70s. Going into next week, t-storm chances could return as early as Sunday night and continue for Monday and Tuesday.

Have a great Wednesday!
