Early Monday AM July 11th Update – Staying Hot This Week

Good early Monday morning, everyone. Hopefully, everyone had a good weekend across the area. Thankfully, we don’t have any surprise pop-up t-storms to wake us up early as we get our Monday underway. Even though we have some t-storm chances in the forecast this week, I think we’ll start the work week off on a quiet note. The radar below certainly backs that idea up…

As far as our setup is concerned, we are not in the best setup for any rain or t-storm chances today. We have a cold front to our west and a warm front to our north, and that keep the better rain chances out of here for now…

setup

After we start in the lower to middle 70s this morning, we’ll waste no time warming up with mostly sunny skies and a south breeze that will occasionally gust to 20 mph. That means afternoon highs today will top out around 93 degrees…

Even though the cold front out west doesn’t sweep through today, it’ll try to edge closer to us as we begin our Monday night. The front will fire off t-storm chances and there is a chance some t-storms could clip our far northern counties as we go into early Tuesday morning. It’s a slight chance that some t-storms could clip our northern counties to get our Tuesday morning started as the Future Track wants the majority of the t-storms to stay north of us…

tuesdayam

We should keep things quiet for Tuesday under partly sunny skies. As far as temperatures for Tuesday, it’ll be hot again. Afternoon highs for Tuesday should be back in the lower to middle 90s. The cold front will actually work closer to us as we go into Wednesday, especially Wednesday evening. That’s when I expect better t-storm chances to work back in…

wednesdaynight

The system will actually stall out around here from late Wednesday into the upcoming weekend. That means t-storm chances will be a better bet for us from Wednesday on into Saturday. Rain or shine, we’ll still keep things hot with highs ranging from the lower to middle 90s.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

July 17th-23rd:  Most of the week will be hot with thunderstorms from Wednesday through Saturday.  We will be a little cooler late in the week.

July 24th-30th:  The first half of the week will be warm with scattered thunderstorms.  The second half of the week will be hot and dry.
