Good early Sunday morning! I hope your weekend is going great so far. Mine is going pretty good. I worked on Saturday and today I plan on getting a lot done around the house before I head to a wedding. However, I always have stuff around the house I need to do. I actually need to get the brakes changed on my SUV. I can’t believe it is the last day of July. Didn’t Christmas just pass? Wow, life just ticks on by. Don’t blink you will miss it!
We have more showers and thunderstorms which have been developing. We should have scattered showers and thunderstorms across portions of the area during the morning hours. Take a look at the radar below.
During the morning hours we should have scattered thunderstorms.
These will work through with partly sunny skies by the afternoon. We will heat up into the lower 90s with a heat index near 100. Also watch the warm front push north by the afternoon.
With the front working through, we could see a few additional scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. However, by tomorrow the front will be well north.
This will take most of the storms north and allowing the heat and humidity to push in. Here is the problem.
The Jet Stream retreats to the north with our big area of High pressure working in. This means we go back to the mid to upper 90s with a heat index of 105-112 through the week.
