Wednesday night Blog: Heat, but not for long! Also thunderstorm chances increase.

Good Wednesday night!  I hope your week has been great so far.  Mine hasn’t been to bad.  I am just working away and looking at the latest data rolling in with our next storm system working in for Friday and Saturday.  Plus, I am somewhat listening to Dowe as he does the 10:00 newscast.

We have had a decent amount of rain so far for August in a lot of areas in the 4-state area.  Not everyone has had a lot of rain but a good chunk of us.  We are pretty calm right now, but more thunderstorms over the next few days.  Take a look at the radar below.

Another hot and humid day for us on Thursday with highs into the mid 90s.  Our heat Index should make it up to about 105 with a few isolated thunderstorms once again.

Thursday

Thunderstorm chances increase on Friday morning as our next cold front starts to sink into the area.  However, our best chances for thunderstorms will be late Friday and Friday night as the front sags through the region.

Friday

The front sinks south on Saturday and will take most of the thunderstorms with it.  I think we will have a batch of storms Saturday morning, but by the afternoon most of the storms should be mainly south of the region.

Saturday

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Here is your 7-day forecast:

Remember that you can sign up for WeatherCall by clicking the WeatherCall link at the top of the page. WeatherCall, in our opinion, is the best tool on the market to keep you safe during severe weather.

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next Week:  Warm temperatures, mainly in the 80s through the week with a few pop-up thunderstorms just about each day as a front hangs near the area.

August 21st-27th:  A hot start to the week but a warm second half to the week.  Thunderstorm chances Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
