Wednesday Evening September 7th Update – T-Storm Chances Picking Up

Good Wednesday evening, everyone. We have kept things quiet over the past several days and we also saw our temperatures heat up along the way. Today was a bit of an exception for some. With cloud cover building throughout the course of the day, we’ve seen some spots get as hot as the lower 90s while others struggled to get to 90° today. The cloud cover is hinting at changes, especially our next system off to our northwest…

Ahead of the front, we kept things quiet today. Over the past few hours, we did have a few showers work through parts of the area. You can always keep an eye on that and other areas of rain on the radar below…

For the rest of the evening, we’ll continue with partly to mostly cloudy skies and we’ll also continue with a chance for some showers going into tonight…

With the clouds and rain chances increasing late tonight, we’ll see overnight lows only drop to about 76° in most spots. Going into Thursday morning, we’ll continue to see rain and t-storm chances around. Definitely grab the rain gear before you head to work or school tomorrow morning…

thursdayam

For late Thursday morning and Thursday afternoon, we should get a bit of a break in our rain chances. The cloud cover will be sticking around, and that means highs only in the upper 80s. Once we get Thursday evening underway, that’s when another round of rain and t-storms will begin….

T-storm chances will continue Thursday night and into Friday morning. Here’s what the radar could look like by 7 AM on Friday…

fridaymorning

Going into Friday afternoon and early Friday evening, we should be able to get another break in the action. By Friday night and early Saturday morning, though, the front will work through and bring with it our last round of t-storms with this system before it clears out…

Behind the front, we look good for the rest of the weekend. Highs will top out in the upper 70s on Saturday and near 80° on Sunday with partly to mostly sunny skies. Early next week, we’ll be back into the lower to middle 80s with some more t-storm chances trying to work in by then.

Have a good evening, everyone!

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

September 11th-17th:  Most of the week will be on the mild side with rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Additional rain chances on Friday and Saturday with cooler temperatures working in.

September 18th-24th:  Warming back up this week with rain chances Monday through Friday as we have a stalled out front through the region.
