Happy Friday! I hope you are having a great day so far. Mine has been good. I have been working this morning and popping outside to look at the thunderstorms. However, if you know me, I hate lightning, so I keep my distance! Wow, more heavy rains. We have really seen this trend over the past month or so. This is all the new Heady Pattern which is very interesting. Look at the radar below.
Well, we are going to have the showers and thunderstorms through most of the day.
SEVERE THREAT: LOW. We won’t have enough juice to get a lot of severe storms rolling. However, some strong storms are possible this afternoon with very heavy amounts of rain. I think most areas will average in the 1/2-2″ of rain today.
Lets look through the mid afternoon.
Thunderstorms continue into the early evening hours.
I am really hoping some of these guys can push out of here for some football tonight. However, we are going to be pressing it. I think scattered thunderstorms will stick around through the evening hours.
The map above shows roughly 9-10pm. Thunderstorms will be slowly working out of the area.
We will clear out for the week which looks pretty good with warm temperatures.
The new Heady Pattern is almost completely set here in about a week. This is an interesting set-up here in about a week.
Are Jet Stream is getting much stronger and storm systems are dropping farther south. This is part of the new pattern and we can match the cycle back to the beginning of August. For more on the Heady Pattern and my long range forecast go to headypattern.com
