Late Saturday PM October 22nd Update – Staying Quiet for Our Sunday

Good late Saturday evening, everyone. Today turned out to be pretty nice! Even though it was chilly to start with middle 40s this morning, a good south breeze warmed us up near 75° in most spots. We spent the day on the quiet side and that’s how we’ll go into the rest of the night. So, don’t expect anything to pop up on the radar below…

The setup below perfectly explains why we were quiet and a bit breezy today. High pressure centered over Mississippi kept our skies quiet today while the wind around the high kept the mild air in place. Going into next week, we’ll have to keep an eye on our next cold front that’s sitting to our northwest…

Until the front works in, we’ll keep quiet to wrap the weekend up tomorrow. The southerly breeze will stay light and it will keep us a little milder compared to how we started this morning. It’ll still be a chilly start under quiet skies with lows around 53°…

The southwest wind picks back up to about 10-15 mph as we go through the rest of your Sunday. That, along with mostly sunny skies once again, will let afternoon highs climb back into the middle 70s…

We stay in the middle 70s to start the new work/school week with skies staying partly to mostly sunny through Tuesday. Late Tuesday night and into Wednesday, our next front will work in and that will bring our next chance for rain and some t-storms. You can see the GFS below wants some rain and t-storms to start our Wednesday morning out…

After the front clears out Wednesday night, we keep things quiet going into next weekend with highs still in the 70s. Sticking with Doug’s pattern, we’ll have to watch for rain chances that will try to return that Sunday and into Halloween. Don’t forget that Doug has you covered with his latest thoughts on the pattern and his long-range forecast over on headypattern.com

Have a good night and enjoy your Sunday!

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next Week:  Mild most of the week with rain chances on Wednesday.  Turning a little cooler late in the week.

October 30th-Saturday 5th:  Mild on Sunday and Halloween with rain chances.  Turning colder for the middle of the week with a slow warming trend into the weekend.
