Halloween 2016 Early AM Update – Warm Halloween Before Rain Works In…

Good early Monday morning, everyone. Nick here still at the station doing a little work before I eventually clock out for the night. If you expected a decent warm up yesterday, the cold front and the persistent cloud cover left me with some explaining to do (or ‘splaining to do, in the words of Ricky Ricardo). LOL. Because of the north wind and more cloud cover than expected, most spots were stuck in the 60s yesterday afternoon. Some spots close to the MO/AR state line and Table Rock Lake did make it into the lower to middle 70s before they started cooling down. We might have had a fall-like day yesterday (which I’m sure some of you enjoyed) but we’ll have another quick warm today. We stay dry and quiet on the radar below for today…

We’ll start a bit chilly this morning with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Before the southerly wind kicks back in after sunrise, we should have lows starting in the middle 50s across the area. With the southerly wind back at 10-20 mph (gusts near 30) and more expected sunshine today, we should see highs back near 81°. Not quite a record breaker, but it will be a warm Halloween this year…

As far as tonight is concerned, it’ll be a warm start but we’ll keep things dry around here. Partly sunny with upper 70s by 6 PM and we’ll drop into the lower 70s by 10 tonight. Hopefully, all the trick-or-treaters will be okay with that!

We keep things quiet and warm again for Tuesday with highs near 80°. For Wednesday, the morning will start quiet before our next system works in. A cold front will bring t-storm chances back in for Wednesday afternoon, Wednesday night and into Thursday morning…

From Thursday afternoon on into most of the upcoming weekend, we look pretty good. There may be a shot for a few showers late next Sunday, but we have time to watch that. By this coming weekend, hopefully it will feel more fall-like with highs expected to drop into the upper 60s to near 70°.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next week:  Mild temperatures stick around with rain chances increasing for Monday night and Tuesday.  As a second wave works in, rain chances stick around on Wednesday and Thursday with cooler temperatures working in for Thursday and Friday.  Mild and dry for the beginning of the weekend.

November 6th-12th:  A couple of waves this week will keep rain chances around from Monday through Friday.  We will have mild temperatures to start the week, but cooler temperatures work in for the second half of the week.
