Saturday PM November 5th Update – Rain Chances Coming Soon

Good Saturday evening, everyone! Quick reminder for you all before we get to the forecast for the coming week. Daylight Saving Time ends tonight, so remember to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed. It was a quiet day with passing cloud cover. It was still a bit warmer than normal with highs near 70°, but it was still a nice day for any outdoor plans. We’ll keep things quiet tonight with any rain on the radar below staying away…

The setup below keeps us quiet for Sunday, but it also shows a few things to watch over the next few days. Below, we have both a cold front in the Pacific Northwest and an upper-level cutoff low in the Desert Southwest…

setup

Both of those features will work together and work closer to us to bring some rain chances early in the coming week. It just won’t happen for your Sunday. After we start cool with lows around 44°, partly sunny skies and a light southeast breeze will warm us back up. Highs Sunday should top out around 67°…

sunday

The cold front and the upper low will work in starting late Sunday night and into Monday morning. That’s when rain chances will work back in…

mondayrain

With rain chances and mostly cloudy skies around for Monday, highs will only top out around 63°. Expect much of the same for Election Day, but we’ll have the rain chances eventually taper off. For everyone heading to the polls on Tuesday, you’ll have to encounter a few showers mainly in the morning. After we get the afternoon started, we’ll just be mostly cloudy and dry overall…

electionday

The latest look at the rest of the week wants that cutoff low to retreat back to the southwest. If that holds as we go into Wednesday and into next weekend, we’ll keep things quiet…

midweek

Even though we may stay dry going into next weekend, we’ll see temperatures start to cool down by Saturday with highs barely getting into the lower 60s. The cool down by the end of next week certainly fits with Doug’s long range forecast. To see if his long range forecast has any other cool downs or rain chances over the next several weeks, he has you covered over on headypattern.com

Have a good night, enjoy the extra hour of sleep and have a great Sunday!

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

November 13th-19th:  Mainly a cool week with rain chances on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
