Wednesday Evening November 9th Update – Cold Night Ahead

Good Wednesday evening, everyone. Nick here with the blog update for tonight. After we saw some patchy fog last night and early this morning, it turned out to be a pretty good day. Thanks to mostly sunny skies and a light breeze out of the north, we had a very fall-like day with highs in the lower to middle 60s. We expect skies to stay quiet for the rest of the night. As a result, we’ll also keep things quiet on the radar below…

In fact, we’re looking at a cold night as we keep the skies mostly clear and the breeze light. Most spots are under frost advisories until 9 AM Thursday since we’ll have overnight lows drop into the middle to upper 30s. So, if you have any plants that aren’t fans of the cold, cover them up or bring them in for the night…

After sunrise, we’ll keep the skies mostly sunny for your entire Thursday. With a light south wind kicking back in, we’ll warm up from the 30s back near 67° for the afternoon…

As Doug mentioned yesterday, we don’t have any major systems sneaking in for the rest of the week. Veterans Day looks mild and quiet. Saturday may be a bit chilly but we keep things pretty mild and quiet for the weekend. For the first part of the week, we stay calm and mild under partly sunny skies. Sticking with Doug’s pattern, we’ll have our next system sneak in by next Thursday…

When that system works in, we’ll have rain chances work back in along with it late next week and into next weekend. For a look at the next several weeks, including Thanksgiving and the month of December, Doug has you covered over on headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Thursday!

Nick

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Here is your 7-day forecast:

Remember that you can sign up for WeatherCall by clicking the WeatherCall link at the top of the page. WeatherCall, in our opinion, is the best tool on the market to keep you safe during severe weather.

Also we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. I think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next Week:  Mild temperatures with chances for rain late in the week for Friday and Saturday with cooler temperatures working in.
