Late Saturday PM November 26th Update – Rain Chances Sneaking Back In

Good late Saturday evening, everyone. Hopefully, you all had a good Thanksgiving and survived Black Friday shopping! I had the chance to look around some of the electronic stores on Black Friday, but I didn’t pull the trigger on a new laptop yet. I definitely ruled out Apple since their MacBook Pros still cost an arm, but I’m intrigued by a few laptops from Razer, HP and Dell. If this was the appropriate place, I could go on and on about tech. You came here for weather, though, so let’s get to it.

Even though we started off with some patchy frost and some stubborn low clouds/fog, we kept things quiet today. Highs ventured into the middle 50s after a cold start this morning. We should be able to go into the 50s again for Sunday, but we’ll have some changes sneaking in through the day. For tonight, we stay quiet on the radar below…

We’ll have cloud cover definitely increasing overnight and into Sunday morning ahead of our approaching storm system. Have a look below and you can see what’s coming in on the surface map…

setup

Our next front may be out in the western U.S. this evening, but this system will reorganize a little bit and waste no time working in. Overnight and into Sunday morning, we stay dry while the skies turn mostly cloudy. Temperatures will hold steady in the middle 40s…

sundayam

I expect us to get through Sunday morning dry, but scattered rain and t-storm chances will pick up as we work through the afternoon. I don’t expect any t-storms that do develop to turn strong or severe. Just be sure to have the rain gear handy as afternoon highs should go back into the middle to upper 50s…

sundaypm

Until that cold front works through, we keep rain and t-storm chances in the forecast through Sunday night and into Monday morning. After we get past Monday morning, we should be able to shake the rain chances and start clearing some of the cloud cover out of here as the front marches east. If we play our cards right, we could see highs on Monday top out near 62°…

mondayam

Most of the work/school week looks quiet beyond Monday. Behind that system, though, we’ll have some cooler air work in that’ll definitely make it feel like late fall or winter around here. We may spend Tuesday with highs in the middle 50s, but have a look at highs for Wednesday…

By the middle of the week, we’ll have overnight lows work back into the upper 20s and lower 30s while afternoon highs will only make it into the middle to upper 40s. If it’s any consolation, we stay dry for the middle of the week and working into Friday. By the coming weekend, we’ll have another system to keep an eye on. For now, I have just rain chances on Saturday. However, if it tries to sneak in by the morning, it could start as a little snow before switching over to rain. If you’re curious about the next few weeks around here, Doug has you covered with the long-range forecast below. Have a good night and a great Sunday!

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next Week:  A cooler start to the week with rain chances on Sunday and Monday.  Temperatures turn cooler for the rest of the week.  A second system rolls in for the Wednesday and Thursday with rain and snow chances on Wednesday and Thursday.

December 4th-10th:  Warming back up early in the week with rain chances on Monday, then rain or snow chances on Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures turning much colder.  Staying cold through the middle of the week with mild temperatures returning for the weekend.
