New Year’s Eve 2016 Update – 2017 Starts off Warmer than Normal for Us

Good Saturday evening, everyone! It’s not only the last Saturday of the year but our last day of the year before we ring in 2017. Thankfully, it wasn’t so windy today! We did have a breezy start this morning with lows in the lower 40s, but the wind calmed down as we warmed into the middle 50s under mostly sunny skies. We stay quiet tonight with no rain or snow planning on sneaking in on the radar below…

So, what can we expect for the overnight? What about our first full week of 2017? I am keeping an eye on rain chances for Monday and another cold punch that will work in pretty soon. I break it all down on the updated video-cast below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long-range forecast and his latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com.

Have a good night, a great Sunday and a great New Year’s Day!

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

January 9th-15th:  A cold start to the week, but warming up a bit for the middle of the week.  Our next storm system rolls through during the middle of the week with rain and snow chances on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Cooling back down and staying dry into the weekend.

January 15th-21st:  A mild start to the week with rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday.  If we can get any colder air on the backside of the system, we could have some wintry weather to end the system.  Cold the rest of the week, but warming up for Saturday.
