Good Friday evening, everyone! After snow late Wednesday night through Thursday morning and cloud cover hanging tough, we were just flat-out cold over the past few days. Today was no exception. After we started at 9° this morning, Joplin only managed to climb to 18° this afternoon. Outlying areas also struggled to warm into the middle to upper teens today. At least kept things dry today and we will keep the radar below quiet tonight…
If you’re not a fan of the cold, we’ll start a warming trend this weekend that will continue into next week. We’ll also have a few systems to keep an eye on. I break it all down for you on the videocast below…

Have a good night and a great Saturday!

LONG RANGE FORECAST:Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)
SLIGHT CHANCES: MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.
IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT: THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM
Next Week: Warming back up with rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday with mild temperatures. Turing a little cooler with a second wave Thursday and Friday with a few showers. Mild temperatures return for the weekend.
January 15th-21st: A mild start to the week with rain chances on Tuesday and Wednesday. If we can get any colder air on the backside of the system, we could have some wintry weather to end the system. Cold the rest of the week, but warming up for Saturday.
