Saturday Evening January 7th Update – Continuing to Warm Up Over the Next Few Days

Good Saturday evening, everyone. It was still cold today, but we’re headed in the right direction if you’re not a fan of the cold! After starting in the single digits again this morning, mostly sunny skies and a light breeze allowed us to go into the middle 30s this afternoon. We may see some cloud cover sneak in late overnight to keep the temperatures from dropping off so much, but we won’t see anything pop up on the radar below…

Temperatures will continue to trend upward as we get the new week underway, but we’ll also have to watch another system by next weekend. There’s a bit to go over, but we break down the week ahead below…

Don’t forget that you can get Doug’s latest thoughts on the pattern and the long-range forecast over the next few months over at headypattern.com.

Have a good night and a great Sunday!

Nick

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

Here is your 7-day forecast:

Remember that you can sign up for WeatherCall by clicking the WeatherCall link at the top of the page. WeatherCall, in our opinion, is the best tool on the market to keep you safe during severe weather.

Also, we have our free WEATHER APP that lets you access our forecast, blog, radar and weather alerts. We think it’s a must if you own an Apple or Android phone.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

January 15th-21st:  A cool start to the week with rain chances on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with our next wave working through.  If we can get a little colder air on the back side of the system, we could have a little wintry weather.  Staying cool and dry the rest of the week until rain chances return for the weekend.

January 22nd-28th:  Rain and snow chances return from Sunday through Tuesday.  Another system with rain chances for Friday and Saturday.
