Thursday Evening Blog: Steady nice week, but changes in temperatures coming

Good Thursday evening!  The weekend is right around the corner.  It has been a great day for me today.  I got a ton done around the house before work and hung out with C (Christian my son).  It was another fantastic weather day with highs into the lower 80s.  We do have a weak wave rotating through the southern plains that is firing off a few showers in north Oklahoma.  However, these will stay SW of our area.  Take a look at the radar below.

I just don’t see really any rain chances through the viewing area until the middle of next week.  We are still in the same pattern we have been in since last September and our 57.5 day cycle.  But we are now into the summer version of the pattern.  The thing I noticed in the fall, winter and spring, was this pattern has so many ridges.  I knew that wasn’t going to be pleasant during the summer because that means heat waves.  Here is my latest video-cast.

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next week:  The heat sticks around with thunderstorm chances from Wednesday through Saturday as two systems work through.

June 18th-24th:  Mainly a warm week with highs in the 80s with thunderstorm chances on Sunday and Monday.  Then again on Thursday and Friday
