Tuesday PM June 20th – Summer Heat Sticks Around Before Rain Chances Return

Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Nick here holding the fort down while Doug is up in Kansas City for the annual AMS Broadcast Conference. We FINALLY got to see the sun return after the stubborn cloud cover we had to deal with on Monday. We were keeping an eye on t-storms out in central and western Kansas on the radar below, but those have collapsed…

We’ll keep things quiet tonight and through Thursday while we’ll have the summer heat sticking with us. Going into the weekend, we’ll see t-storm chances pick back up once again. Behind the weekend rain, we could actually see below normal temperatures by early next week. I break down the latest forecast below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long-range forecast and his latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Wednesday!

Nick

LONG RANGE FORECAST IS BELOW BASED OFF THE HEADY PATTERN:

LONG RANGE FORECAST: Based off of the HP(Heady Pattern)

SLIGHT CHANCES:  MEAN IT IS A WEAKER SYSTEM THAT WILL GIVE US SCATTERED SHOWERS OR SNOW SHOWERS.

IF I DON’T SAY SLIGHT:  THAT MEANS THIS IS A STRONGER SYSTEM

Next week:  A warm start to the week with scattered thunderstorms through Wednesday.  The heat and humidity pump in for the 4th of July weekend holiday.

July 2nd-8th:  The holiday weekend looks great with hot temperatures through the 4th.  Warm the second half of the week with thunderstorm chances on the 5th.
