Monday Evening October 16th – Staying Nice and Quiet for a Little While

Good Monday evening, everyone. Nick here with the blog update at Doug’s request this evening. It was a nice day all around the area! After we dealt with Saturday’s t-storms and a quick switch of seasons from Saturday to Sunday, it definitely felt like a fall day to start the new work/school week. We had our coldest start of the season so far with areas dropping into the upper 30s this morning. Thankfully, our light breeze and sunny skies allowed us to rebound into the middle to upper 60s this afternoon. We’ll stay quiet tonight with nothing popping up on the radar below…

We’re set for another quiet night around here, but it won’t get as chilly as we roll into Tuesday morning. It’ll still be cool with overnight lows dropping into the lower to middle 40s…

The surface setup for your Tuesday is looking good for us as well. We’ll have high pressure just off to our southeast. That gets the south breeze going again and keep any big systems away for now…

With the skies below staying mostly sunny from start to finish, Tuesday will be another nice and mild day with highs rebounding into the lower to middle 70s…

We’ll keep things nice and calm around here all the way through Friday with temperatures bouncing between the middle and upper 70s for afternoon highs. Come Saturday, though, we’ll have our next front work in from the west…

As it works in, clouds will definitely pick up on Saturday  and we’ll have rain and t-storm chances return right along with it…

Once the rain chances scoot on out of here going into Sunday, skies will calm down and temperatures will be kept in check with highs in the middle 60s to near 70 early next week. Don’t forget that Doug has your long-forecast and his latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Tuesday!

Nick
