Early Sunday AM New Year’s Eve – Arctic Cold Marking the End of 2017

Good early Sunday morning, everyone. If you love bitterly cold weather and you liked how we quickly went into the real chill last night, you’ll love the next few days. We had early morning highs yesterday in the middle 30s before we saw temperatures drop into the middle to upper teens by sunrise Saturday. Despite some sunshine yesterday afternoon, we could only get temperatures to bounce back into the lower to middle 20s. We stay cold for tonight with nothing really popping up around here on the radar below…

Not only do we have to deal with some of the coldest air we haven’t seen since last December 18th and 19th, the wind is starting to pick up. That means Wind Chill Advisories to take us from 2017 into 2018. The brutal cold won’t last too long around here. We do warm up a bit by the coming weekend with another potential system to watch by then. I have the latest forecast updated below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long-forecast and latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Sunday!
