Monday Evening March 5th – Quick Cool Down on the Way

Good Monday evening, everyone. As advertised, it was a breezy day all across the area. Despite that and starting the day with quite a bit of cloud cover, we saw high temperatures today climb into the lower 60s for your Monday. We’ve had mostly sunny skies for a good portion of the day and we’ll keep the skies mostly clear going into tonight. That means we won’t see anything popping up in our area on the radar below tonight…

Remember the system that gave us rain and some t-storms yesterday afternoon and last night? We’re not quite done with it just yet. We’ll have to deal with the backside of this system for the next day or two. Starting tonight, we’ll see the colder air filter in. That will mean lows starting in the middle 30s for Tuesday morning…

We’ll start the day with mostly sunny skies, but the backside of the system will send some cloud cover our way as we venture into Tuesday afternoon. At least, we look dry for the day on Tuesday…

The northwest breeze and the increase in the clouds will mean a cooler afternoon for your Tuesday. We’ll have highs topping out right around 50°…

Going into Tuesday evening and Tuesday night, we could see a few snow flurries as we start to see the system push away. You can see below how the better odds for any snow will stay mainly off to our north and east, though…

We’ll hold onto partly sunny skies Wednesday with high temperatures only topping out in the middle 40s. It’s a short-lived cool-down, though. We’ll be back into the lower 50s on Thursday and easily back into the middle 60s for your Friday…

On Friday, though, we’ll have our next system start to work in. You can see how the surface map setup wants to look like by Friday morning…

With this next front, we’ll have mostly cloudy skies for your Friday with some rain chances sneaking back in…

Beyond Friday, we’ll keep things quiet for the rest of the weekend. We will see temperatures drop from 60° Saturday to the upper 40s on Sunday. We’ll look to keep things quiet but chilly as we go into early next week. Have a good night and a great Tuesday!
