Tuesday Evening March 6th – Another Breezy Day Waiting for Us As We Stay Cool

Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Sure enough, we had quite a windy Tuesday all around the area. Combine that with the dry air mass that we had to start the day, it was not a good day for any outdoor burning. Temperatures did their best, though, to warm up after a cold start this morning. After starting in the middle 30s, we had high temperatures climb into the lower 50s late this morning. Once the wind really kicked in to start the afternoon, that’s when we saw the mercury start to drop for the rest of the day. The backside of our system is passing through and it is leaving us with a few showers / light snow showers in parts of the area on the radar below…

We’ll continue with the random rain showers / light snow showers for the rest of the evening. It won’t be around once we get into the overnight hours and closer to the Wednesday morning drive…

Even with mostly cloudy skies in place by the morning, the northwest breeze will make sure we start cold once again. After we start in the middle 20s, we’ll do our best to improve our weather setup for the day. After the morning clouds, we’ll turn mostly sunny throughout the afternoon…

Even with skies turning mostly sunny through the afternoon, we’ll still have a north wind at about 10-20 mph. We’ll keep temperatures on the cool side Wednesday afternoon with highs expected to climb into the middle 40s…

Once we get past our cool Wednesday, we’ll have the thermometer ticking back up going into the coming weekend. We’ll have highs rebound into the lower 50s on Thursday and temperatures pushing into the lower to middle 60s for your Friday afternoon…

Just as we start warming back up, we’ll be watching our next storm system work in for the coming weekend. Friday looks dry for now, but Saturday looks to be a different story…

With a mild Saturday and a front wanting to set up near or on top of the area, it looks like we’ll deal with rain and t-storm chances for your Saturday. For now, it doesn’t look like we’ll see any severe weather, but we’ll still keep an eye on Saturday’s setup…

After Saturday, the backside of the system will send us back into the 40s on a quiet Sunday. We’ll also keep things quiet and cool as we work into early next week. Don’t forget that Doug has you covered with his long-range forecast and latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Wednesday!
