Late Sunday PM May 27th – Staying Hot & Humid for Memorial Day

Good late Sunday evening, everyone. We said we would make a run for the record high of 92° today and we came pretty close. With partly to mostly sunny skies, it was another hot and humid day across the area. After we started in the upper 60s this morning, we topped out at 91° this afternoon. That was 1° shy of tying the record set back only 6 years ago. We’ll be close to record highs again for Monday, but we get the chance to cool down a bit tonight with nothing to worry about on the radar below…

For your Memorial Day, Mother Nature will once again hit the repeat button. That means after a mild start this morning, we’ll be hot and humid again for the afternoon. I can’t rule out a random t-storm for the afternoon, but I’m watching better rain chances trying to sneak in by the middle of the week. The latest forecast, including how the area lakes look for Memorial Day and how the midweek rain chances are lining up, is right below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long-range forecast and his latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and enjoy your Memorial Day!
