Tuesday Evening May 29th – Watching More Heat and More Rain Chances Work In

Good Tuesday evening, everyone. Mother Nature can’t seem to take the hint that it’s not summer yet. Despite it being late spring, it was another hot and humid day with highs topping out near 90 again for today. We kept things quiet so far today, but we are keeping an eye on t-storms to our west on the radar below…

The t-storms out that fired up to our west this afternoon have been triggered by a dry-line and a good upper level wave working together…

Most of the evening here will be warm and muggy, but quiet. After 10 or 11 o’clock tonight, that’s when the t-storms out west will start to work in…

Most, if not all, of these t-storms should be below severe limits by the time they start working in. That being said, we can’t rule out some pockets of heavy rain and some potent wind gusts with the strongest of the t-storms. We’ll continue to have t-storm chances stick around as we roll into Wednesday morning…

Once we get the last of the morning t-storms out of here, the rest of the day on Wednesday will just be another hot and humid one. Plan on highs going back into the lower 90s under partly to mostly sunny skies…

Wednesday evening starts off quiet, then we’ll have to watch for another chance for t-storms to roll in from the west as we go through the overnight and into Thursday morning…

Despite these coming rounds of rain and t-storms, we’ll stay in the lower to middle 90s as we work into the coming weekend. Thankfully, a break from the heat appears to still be on the way. Have a look at Saturday morning…

There could be some isolated to scattered t-storms ahead of the approaching cold front on Saturday, but the bigger weather story for us with that front is what’s behind it. We’ll finally see more seasonal air work back in by next Sunday and into next week. It’ll still be warm, but we’ll be talking about highs in the 80s by early next week…
