Friday Night Blog: Warm temperatures, some thunderstorms

Good Friday evening!  I hope you are ready for the weekend.  It has turned out to be a great week with nice warm temperatures.  We should be dry the next couple of days as most of the scattered storms will stay west of here which you can see on the radar below.

Saturday looks like a great day.

We will push 90 on Mother’s Day with partly sunny skies.  Take a look at the upper levels.  We are right on track with the Heady Pattern and our 48 day cycle.

Look at the huge wave across the western 1/3rd of the country.  This wave just slowly weakens and spends out to our west of about the next 5-6 days.  It just spits little chunk of energy toward us everyday.  So we will have a few scattered thunderstorms or at least chances each and everyday next week until the main wave rolls through on Friday.  Because we don’t have an organized strong wave, our severe weather chances will stay low through the week.  Severe weather threats will increase the following week and heading into Memorial weekend.  Also look at the wave near Florida.  This is very important as this will return for the hurricane season with in the 48 day cycle.

Have a great weekend and remember my long range forecast is at
