Tuesday Afternoon December 12th – Up & Down Temperatures Continue

Good Tuesday afternoon, everyone. The up and down temperatures seem to be sticking with us as we continue through the week. The past few days were no exception. After we had a mild and windy Monday with highs in the middle 60s, we saw highs drop back into the lower to middle 40s this afternoon. At the very least, we kept things quiet once again with calm skies and nothing popping up on the radar below…

Going into the next few days, the roller coaster ride of temperatures will continue with another system set to work in from the north. The next cold front will still be off to our north to start Wednesday morning out…

Despite that, we’re still looking at a cold night and a cold start for your Wednesday morning. With clear skies and a relatively light breeze, look for overnight lows to drop back into the middle 30s…

Mostly sunny skies will stay with us for Wednesday afternoon with a southwest wind to start the day. The wind will start to shift during the day (eventually a northwest breeze by the evening), but we’ll still have a warmer than normal day. The map below may suggest middle 50s for highs Wednesday, but we’ll still have a fair amount of dry air in place. Since dry air is quick to warm up and cool down, it’s more likely we’ll have highs around 59 Wednesday afternoon…

When the northwest wind kicks in behind the front, that’s when temperatures will go back down as we roll into your Thursday. With skies still staying quiet behind the front, it will be another cold start Thursday with lows in the upper 20s to near 30…

With increasing clouds and the northwest wind in play for Thursday afternoon, we don’t look to warm up very much Thursday afternoon. Look for Thursday highs around 37…

After another cold start for Friday morning with lows close to 20, we’ll start warming up again heading into the weekend with highs in the lower to middle 40s Friday afternoon…
