Tuesday Afternoon May 8th – Some T-Storm Chances to Watch

Good Tuesday afternoon, everyone. We stayed nice and quiet for today, but we warmed up quite a bit again! After starting in the lower 60s, we wasted no time climbing back into the middle to upper 80s. Even with quite a bit of cloud cover across the sky today, we’ve kept the radar below quiet around here so far…

As Doug pointed out the other day, we have a system that’s hanging around the area. Even though it won’t pass through the area, it will be close enough to bring some t-storm chances in here starting tonight…

Our in-house model is suggesting that we could see spotty showers and t-storms try to start popping up after 7 or 8 this evening. The future radar below is suggesting we could have some t-storms around as we head into the late night around 11 PM…

If you don’t see any of the spotty rain or t-storms tonight and going into Wednesday morning, it’ll be a partly cloudy and mild night with lows only dropping back into the upper 60s…

For most of your Wednesday, it’ll be another quiet and warm day under partly to mostly sunny skies. With highs expected to return into the middle to upper 80s, it’ll feel like another late June day instead of early May…

That front will stick around going through the day and it will set us up for additional spotty rain and t-storms going into late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning…

If you don’t see any of the spotty t-storms late Wednesday night and going into Thursday morning, we’ll have partly cloudy skies with lows dropping back into the middle 60s. Thursday is looking quiet and partly sunny with highs climbing back into the middle 80s…

We could have another round of spotty late night t-storms Thursday and going into Friday morning. We’ll hold off on the better t-storm chances until we get into Mother’s Day and early next week. Don’t forget that Doug has your long-range forecast and his latest thoughts on the pattern over at headypattern.com

Have a good evening and a great Wednesday!

Nick
