Monday Evening April 16th – Staying Quiet For A Little While

Good Monday evening, everyone. It turned out to be a nice-looking day and we got the chance to rebound after a cold start this morning. In fact, we tied the record low of 29° this morning set back in 1953! Thankfully, mostly sunny skies and a light breeze allowed us to climb into the middle to upper 50s this afternoon. With quiet skies sticking with us tonight, we won’t worry about anything popping up on the radar below…

With mostly clear skies set for tonight and into Tuesday morning, we will have temperatures drop back. Thankfully, with a south breeze in play, it won’t turn so cold. Instead of lows dropping back into the upper 20s, we’ll have morning temperatures in the middle 40s…

Thanks to a warm front sneaking in from the southwest, we’ll turn quite a bit warmer for Tuesday afternoon…

The southwest breeze will be up there between 10 & 20 mph (with some gusts around 30 possible), but that breeze will allow us to climb into the upper 70s Tuesday afternoon…

Once the cold front with our next system works in, it doesn’t have enough moisture to bring any rain or t-storm chances in here for Wednesday. It’ll have enough moisture to bring partly sunny skies in here. What it’ll also do is cool temperatures down a little for Wednesday afternoon. After we start in the lower 50s Wednesday morning, look for highs in the middle 60s…

We’ll keep Thursday & Friday quiet with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs bouncing between the lower and middle 60s. Even though the weekend ahead of us starts off nice and quiet, we’ll have another system working in. By the latest look, the brunt of the system looks to pass to south of us…

Despite that, we’ll still have to deal with mostly cloudy skies and rain/t-storm chances for both Saturday & Sunday…

Once we get this system out of here, we’ll have some sun return by next Monday as temperatures look to stay mild. Don’t forget that Doug has your long-range forecast and latest thoughts on the pattern covered over at headypattern.com

Have a good night and a great Tuesday!
